Vocabulary 9 -Chemical Changes

Physica change: a change in size, shape, or state, without forming a new substance.
Chemical change: a change in matter that produce a new substance with different properties from the original.


Chemical reaction: a chemical change of original substance nto one or  more new substances.


reactant: one of  the original substance before a chemical reaction takes place.


product: one of the new substances produced when a chemical reaction takes place.

Vocabulary 8- Mixtures and Solutions

Mixture: two or more parts blended together yet kipping their own properties and not turnning into a new substance.


Solution: a mixture in wish substance are completely blended so that properties are the same throughout and the substance stay blended

suspension: a mixture of substance that separate upon standing 

colloide: particles (or droplets) large enough to block out light spread throughout another substance


Emulsion: a liquid spread through another liquid

aerosol: liquid drops or solid particles spread through a gas 

gel: a solid pread through a liquid

foam: a gas spread through a liquid or solid.

MELTING POINT:  THE TEMPERATURE AT WHICH A SOLID CHANGES STATE INTO A LIQUID.

Type of Pollution in my Neighborhood

Sound Pollution
is despleasing human, animal or machine create
sound that disrupts the activity or balance of human life.The word noise comes from the Latin word nauseas , meaning seasickness. It is very bad for your health.


Description
near to my neighborhood pass a lot of cars, airplanes, helicopters and all of this transports produce a lot of noice that disturb people.

















Solution
a solution is to restrict vehicular horns upto a certain frequency, no high frequency horns must be sold in the markets.

Album 2: Solar System

INTRODUCTION
In this album you will see about  solar system, about the eight planets that the solar system have, and different pictures of each one.

The solar system consists of the sun and those celestial objects bound to it by gravity, all of which were formed from the collapse fo a giant molecular cloud approximately 4.6 billion of years.

THE SUN is a star at the center of the solar system.The Sun's color is white, although from the surface of the Earth it may appear yellow because of atmospheric scattering of blue light.


The eight planets are:

  1. Mercury: is the innermost and smallest planet in the solar system.The orbit of Mercury has the highest eccentricity of all the solar system planets.Mercury is similar in appearence to the moon: it is heavily cratered with regions of smooth plains, has no natural satellites and no substantial atmosphere.


2. Venus: is teh second planet from the sun.After the moon, it is the brightest natural object in the night sky.Venus is classified as a terrestrial planet due to the similar gravity, and bulk composition.Venus is covered with an opaque layer of highlay reflective clouds.



3. Earth: is the thrid planet from the sun, and the denset and fifht-largest of the eight planets in the solar sytem.Is the only planet that have living things.Earth's outer surface is divided into several rigid segments, or tectonic plates, that migrate across the surface over periods of many millions of years.The planet's interior remains active, with a thick layer of relatively solid mantle, a liquid outer core that generates a magnetic field, and a solid iron inner core.



4. Mars: is the four planet from the sun in the solar system.It is often described as the RED PLANET.Mars is a terrestrial planet with a within atmosphere, having surface features reminicent both of the impact craters of the moon and the volcanoes, valleys deserts, and polars ice.
                       
 
5. Jupiter: is the fifth planet from the sun and the largest planet within the solar system.It is a giant mass slightly less than one thousand of the sun but is two and a half timethe  mass of all the other planets in our solar system combined .Jupiter is classified as a giant along with Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

6. Saturn: is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System, after Jupiter.The interior of Saturn is likely composed of a core of iron, nickel, silicon and oxygen compounds, surrounded by a deep layer of metallic hydrogen, an intermediate layer of liquid hydrogen and liquid helium, and an outer gaseous layer.
7. Uranus: Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and the third-largest and fourth most massive planet in the Solar System.Uranus is similar in composition to Neptune, and both are of different chemical composition than the larger gas giants Jupiter and Saturn.  Uranus's atmosphere, while similar to Jupiter and Saturn's in its primary composition of hydrogen and helium.Like the other giant planets, Uranus has a ring system, a magnetosphere, and numerous moons.

                        

8. Neptune:  is the eighth and farthest planet from the Sun in our Solar System. Named for the Roman god of the sea, it is the fourth-largest planet by diameter and the third-largest by mass.Neptune is similar in composition to Uranus, and both have compositions which differ from those of the larger gas giants Jupiter and Saturn. Neptune's atmosphere, while similar to Jupiter's and Saturn's in that it is composed primarily of hydrogen and helium, along with traces of hydrocarbons and possibly nitrogen, contains a higher proportion of "ices" such as water.

CONCLUSION
In this album you learned that the solar system have eight planets that are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune,and that some planets are made of gas, others are made of liquid, and others are made of mass.

Vocabulary 12- Earth's changing crust

Fault:  a crack in the crust , whose sides show evidence of motion.

Geologist: a scientist who studies earth.


Lava: magma that reaches earth's surface.



Weathering: the brreaking down of rocks into smaller pieces.

Erosion: the picking up and carring away of pieces of rock.

Deposition: the dropping off of bits of eroded rock.


Meteorite: a chunk of rock from space that strikes a surface ( such as earth or the moon).


Magma: hot, molten  rock deep below earth's surface.

Vocabulary 11- Earth and its neighbors

1. Solar System : the sun and the objects that are traveling around it.




2.Planet: any of the eight large bodies that travel around the sun and shine by reflecting its light.



3.Gravity: a force of atraction, or pull, between any object and any other objects around it.



4.Inertia: the tendency of a moving object to keep moving in straight line.



5.Lithosphere:  the hard, outer layer of earth, about 100 kilometers thick.

6. Crust: the rocky surface that makes up the top of the lithosphere.

7.Resource: any material that helps support life on earth.

8.Hydrosphere: earth's surface.
